The Israeli military confirmed that the air strike targeted several Hezbollah locations in the Nabatieh area, aiming to dismantle underground infrastructure linked to the group. In addition to the municipal building strike, Israeli navy forces coordinated with ground troops to hit other Hezbollah targets across southern Lebanon.

Earlier, Israeli strikes were also reported in Beirut’s southern suburbs, which is known as a stronghold of Hezbollah. Witnesses reported hearing multiple explosions and seeing plumes of smoke rising from the affected neighborhoods. This escalation followed a warning from the United States, which has expressed concerns over the scope of Israel’s military actions in Lebanon’s capital.

The ongoing conflict has resulted in the displacement of over a quarter of Lebanon’s population, with many regions now under evacuation orders. Diplomatic efforts to establish a ceasefire have stalled, and tensions in the region continue to escalate as the humanitarian situation deteriorates.
