Senator Okpebholo, Hon. Idahosa Sworn In as Edo State Governor, Deputy

November 12, 2024, marks a historic day for Edo State as Senator Monday Okpebholo and Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa are officially sworn in as Governor and Deputy Governor, respectively. The ceremony, attended by prominent dignitaries including former Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu, was a celebration of new beginnings and a commitment to progress.

In his congratulatory message, Shaibu expressed confidence in Governor Okpebholo’s leadership, anticipating a term that will bring transformative growth, inclusive development, and prosperity to Edo State. “Edo deserves excellence,” Shaibu remarked, “and I trust this administration to guide the state toward greatness.”

He added that Governor Okpebholo’s leadership would inspire future generations and extended his wishes for wisdom, good health, and dedication as the new administration embarks on its journey.

Reflecting on his own tenure, Shaibu addressed the people of Edo State, saying, “As we conclude our eight-year term, I am deeply grateful for your support, which fueled our leadership every step of the way.”
