“The Will of God is the Greatest Celebration,” Reverend Kajogbola Urges

Ijegun – Reverend Tunde Kajogbola of Grace Way Chapel International Church has called on Christians to prioritize doing the will of God as the ultimate form of celebration. He made this appeal during the 20th anniversary of The Risen Christ Baptist Church (AKA Sanctuary of Living Faith) in Ijegun, where he delivered a powerful sermon on the essence of true worship and celebration.

Addressing the congregation, Reverend Kajogbola highlighted that while praise, singing, and dancing are important aspects of worship, they must be rooted in the desire to fulfill God’s will. “The will of God is the greatest celebration, more than dancing and singing,” he declared, urging believers to align their actions with God’s purpose.

True Celebration in the Church

The cleric emphasized that genuine celebration in the church involves more than outward expressions of joy. He encouraged the congregation to seek God’s pleasure above all else, stating, “We must do the will of God as a church, which is the most important.” He added that churches should strive to remain faithful and committed to their divine calling, as this pleases God more than any physical act of worship.

Reverend Kajogbola prayed for the congregation to remain steadfast in their faith, urging them to stay faithful till the end. “Faithfulness to God is the ultimate measure of our celebration,” he noted.

Praise as a Reflection of God’s Will

While underscoring the primacy of God’s will, Reverend Kajogbola also celebrated the role of praise and worship in fostering spiritual growth. He referenced Psalm 33:3, encouraging Christians to sing new songs to the Lord as a reflection of their commitment to His will. “Praise goes beyond songs; it is a lifestyle of obedience and faith,” he said.

He recounted a personal experience where God answered his prayers while he was deeply engaged in praising Him. “I was concentrating on praising God, and before I left the church, the answer had already come,” he shared, underscoring how living in accordance with God’s will opens doors to divine intervention.

Call to Faithful Worship

Reverend Kajogbola concluded his sermon by urging the congregation to make faithfulness to God a priority in their worship. He emphasized that while dancing and singing are important expressions of joy, they must be underpinned by a commitment to doing God’s will.

“The will of God is the foundation of true celebration. Without it, our worship is incomplete,” he said, calling on The Risen Baptist Church to continue its legacy of faithfulness and commitment to God’s purpose.

The anniversary celebration, filled with joy and thanksgiving, reinforced the church’s dedication to aligning its worship with the divine will, leaving members inspired to honor God in all they do.
