Alhaja Sidikat Yakubu Donates to Orphanage, Celebrates New Year Baby

The wife of the Executive Chairman of Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, Alhaja Sidikat Yakubu, has extended her humanitarian efforts to the Blissoladd Orphanage Home in Omu-Aran, the headquarters of Irepodun LGA. During the visit, she made a cash donation to support the upkeep of the children at the orphanage.

Alhaja Yakubu emphasized the importance of caring for the less privileged, noting that her visit was part of her New Year celebrations aimed at bringing joy to the underserved. She lauded the proprietor and staff of the orphanage for their dedication to humanitarian work, stressing that their sacrifices can only be rewarded by God. She also appealed to individuals, groups, and organizations to support initiatives that uplift the less fortunate.

In her response, the proprietor of the orphanage, Mrs. Joke Olayinka, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the visit and the generous donation. She assured that the funds would be used judiciously for the benefit of the children.

Similarly, Alhaja Sidikat Yakubu presented a cash gift to the first baby of the year, born in Irepodun LGA. The baby girl was delivered at 12:15 am on January 1, 2025, at the Orolodo Primary Health Care Centre, Omu-Aran.

During the presentation of the gift to the baby’s mother, Mrs. Sofia Ibrahim, Alhaja Yakubu congratulated the parents and offered prayers for the baby’s protection and well-being. She described the New Year baby as a symbol of hope and a blessing to the community.

Mrs. Ibrahim expressed her profound gratitude to Alhaja Yakubu and the local government for the thoughtful gesture, describing it as a memorable start to the year for her family.
