Barred from Granting Interviews During Trial

Ibadan, Oyo State – Wild celebrations erupted at Islamic High School, Basorun, as NIJA PARROTS reports the release of the School Principal, Ex-Queen Naomi Silekunola, and Oriyomi Hamzat of Agidigbo FM on bail.

An Oyo State High Court, sitting at Ring Road, granted bail to Olori Naomi Silekunola, Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat, and Abdulahi Fasasi on Monday. Justice K. B. Olawoyin of Court 8 delivered the ruling following a bail application filed by their counsels.

The Court had fixed the ruling for Monday after the lawyers for Silekunola, Hamzat, and Fasasi argued the bail application on January 7. The judge outlined five conditions for the bail, including a sum of N10 million, two sureties with landed documents within the court’s jurisdiction, the deposit of the applicants’ international passports, and a restriction barring them from granting any interviews during the trial.
