Ajase-Ipo witnessed a moment of empowerment and appreciation as the Executive Chairman of Irepodun Local Government Area, Hon. Abdulazeez Yakubu, marked the 65th birthday of Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, with a special gesture towards youth development.
In a statement made available to ABNews, Hon. Abdulazeez Yakubu presented an industrial sewing machine to a young tailor, Azeez, as part of efforts to promote financial independence among youths in the local government. The initiative, which took place in Ajase-Ipo, was described as a significant step toward enhancing self-sufficiency and economic growth at the grassroots level.
The beneficiary, Azeez, expressed profound gratitude to the Executive Chairman and the Governor, acknowledging the impact the empowerment would have on his career and financial well-being. In recognition of Governor AbdulRazaq’s leadership, a brief prayer session was held, seeking divine guidance and success for both the Governor and Hon. Abdulazeez Yakubu.
Also in attendance was the Speaker of the Irepodun Legislative Council, Hon. Muritala Omogoye, who lauded the initiative, describing it as a reflection of the chairman’s commitment to youth development. He further commended Governor AbdulRazaq for his dedication to grassroots empowerment and developmental policies across the state.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Abdulazeez Yakubu appreciated the residents of Ajase-Ipo for their continuous support and urged them to remain steadfast in backing the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. He reiterated the local government’s resolve to implement more empowerment programs and infrastructural projects aimed at improving the well-being of the people.
