The Executive Chairman of Ekiti Local Government Area, Hon. Olawale Gabriel Awelewa, on Saturday, attended the Okeya Day celebration and the 15th Coronation Anniversary of Oba Saheed Giwa Opadoye Oyelekan III, the Oludopo of Okeya-Ipo.
The grand event, held in Okeya-Ipo, attracted prominent stakeholders, indigenes, and political leaders, some of whom were honoured with chieftaincy titles in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the progress of the community.
Hon. Awelewa, while addressing the gathering, commended the celebrants for their selfless service, exemplary character, and unwavering commitment to the development of Okeya-Ipo. He described the conferment of chieftaincy titles as a well-deserved recognition that should inspire others to emulate their leadership qualities and compassionate service to humanity.
“May this honour serve as a shining example of leadership and inspire us all to continue working towards the growth and unity of our communities,” he said.
The Chairman also extended heartfelt congratulations to Oba Opadoye on his 15th year on the throne, praying for continued peace, happiness, and prosperity in Okeya-Ipo.
