The movie was released on Sunday, the global Father’s Day, to hail the remarkable day with a worthy recognition, honour and celebration of fathers all over the world, as theme of the movie centres around them. The movie had a great collaboration with Ghollywood star Majid Michael, who is a major act in the movie. Infact, his stellar performance in the movie is one of the major attractions of the movie. Apart Nze and Majid who featured excellently in the film, another standout actor in the film is Angel Unigwe.

Hey Dad is about Wilma being sent to live with her father, who was never there for her. As she arrived, angry, distant and decided to have nothing to do with her father.

She didn’t know her father had an illness while he tried to prove to her that he had changed.

Hey Dad”, is an emotional movie about forgiveness and reconciliation! The strength of the movie is has some lessons to be learnt.

The movie directed by Iyke Obosa focuses on fathers who are absent not by choice but due to some circumstances and solutions to these protracted serious issues affecting the well-being of many families.

The performances of the actors are outstanding especially Majid who played father role of Kenneth. how he portrayed the role of being sick making it real, was commendable, Nolix, an African popular movie review platform stated.

However, Nolix also pointed out that, “Since Kenneth refused to be in hospital there should be proper home care service which the movie lacks”.”The ending didn’t didn’t do justice to the movie because I didn’t show if Kenneth got better or not”, in the movie. Nolix added.

Despite, some of the noticed gaps, in the movie, Nolix is of the view that the movie is great one. “The theme and performance of the actors is superb. Classical performances from the actors especially from Majid Michael made the movie a knockout outing”.

“Good costumes
Good story line, expected more tensions and dramas. It’s worth watching for someone who likes movies that centered on second chances and healing”.
