Hon. Awelewa, APC Chair Visit Olosunde’s Family for Condolence

The Executive Chairman of Ekiti Local Government, Hon. Awelewa Olawale Gabriel, on Thursday paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Chief S.K. Olosunde, a former council chairman and stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Obbo-Ile Ward.

Hon. Awelewa was accompanied by the Ekiti Local Government APC Party Chairman, Mr. Ayo Ajibola, and other party leaders, as they offered their heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family over the passing of the respected elder statesman.

Speaking during the visit, Hon. Awelewa described Chief S.K. Olosunde as a visionary leader and a political icon who contributed immensely to the growth and stability of the local government. He noted that Chief Olosunde’s legacy as a former council chairman and his dedication to the progress of the APC would not be forgotten.

“We are here not just to mourn but to celebrate a life well spent in service to the people and to the ideals of our great party. Baba Olosunde was a pillar in our political family and a father to many. His death is a great loss, not only to his immediate family but to the entire Ekiti Local Government,” Hon. Awelewa said.

Mr. Ayo Ajibola, in his own remarks, also eulogized the late Chief Olosunde as a man of wisdom, peace, and unwavering commitment to community development. He prayed for the family and encouraged them to take solace in the impactful life their father lived.

The delegation offered prayers for the repose of the deceased and strength for the family he left behind. Family members, while expressing appreciation for the visit, described the gesture as comforting and a reflection of the deep respect their late patriarch commanded in the political and social circles of Ekiti Local Government.

Chief S.K. Olosunde, until his passing, was a revered political leader, a committed APC chieftain, and a respected figure in Obbo-Ile and beyond.
