In preparation for forthcoming Lagos State LG elections , Hon. Lateef Ashimi, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairmanship candidate for Somolu Local Government, alongside his running mate, Hon. Taiwo Ojomu, yesterday met with the highly revered Apostle Peter Oyewusi led apex leaders of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Shomolu Loca Government of Lagos State. The meeting was held at the Elediye Shomolu Secretariat, the heart of the party’s local operations.
The session was attended by prominent leaders including the Executive Chairman of Shomolu Local Government, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu ‘Dullar’, who continues to play an instrumental role in the political landscape of the community. His presence added great significance to the event, symbolising the continuity of leadership and party strength.
Also present was Hon. Olorogun Gbolahan Bago-Stowe, the immediate past Council Chairman of Shomolu, whose deep-rooted contributions remains a benchmark in the local government’s progress. His support reflected a strong alignment with the future of Shomolu under APC’s leadership.
The Council Women leaders, led by the dynamic Hon. Mrs. Abosede Ogunlaja, alongside the APC Shomolu Chairman, Hon. Yomi Olubamido, during the meeting, expressed firm confidence in the leadership advisory forum of the party. They reiterated the vital role of the leaders in guiding and strengthening the party’s internal structure.
Distinguished APC chieftains in Shomolu such as Alhaji Fatai Bakare, Hon. Ademola Olisa-Adefalujo, Hon. Babatunde Olaoluwa, Hon. Mike Oikeh and Deacon Femi Taiwo graced the gathering and enriched it with their invaluable presence and insightful perspectives on Shomolu’s political future and strategy for the 2025 State LG elections.
After high-powered meeting, the duo of Hon. Ashimi and Hon. Ojomu, crown the meeting successfully by displaying the party’s flag in the midst of the leaders. A remarkable symbolic gesture of unity, commitment, and readiness to serve Somolu under the progressive banner of the APC.
