says admission is open to Civilians
Yaba, Lagos – June 22, 2025
The Nigerian Army College of Nursing (NACON), located at Myhoung Barracks, Yaba, Lagos, has officially announced the commencement of admission into its National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), and Community Nursing programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session.
In a statement signed by the Acting Registrar, Lt. Col. R.O. Duoboye, the institution disclosed that the admission process is open to military, paramilitary personnel, and civilians.
Admission Requirements: Applicants are expected to meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of five (5) credits in O-Level results (WAEC/NECO/GCE), including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, obtained in not more than two sittings.
- Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth and aged between 18 and 25 years as of October 2025.
- For ND/HND Nursing, a minimum score of 160 in the 2025 UTME is required, while Community Nursing applicants must score at least 130.
Programme Duration:
- ND/HND Nursing: Four (4) years
- Community Nursing: Two (2) years
Screening and Application Details: Registration forms are available via the official college website: www.nacon.edu.ng. The registration period runs from June 23 to August 7, 2025. Candidates are required to upload their credentials, including O-Level results, school testimonial, birth certificate, certificate of origin, and UTME result, along with a passport photograph.
The screening examination will take place from August 18 to 21, 2025 at the NACON Complex. Candidates must adhere strictly to their assigned dates and times.

The College has warned prospective candidates against engaging with unauthorized agents, stressing that no individual or organization has been mandated to act on its behalf regarding admissions.
“Anyone dealing with agents apart from the official contacts provided does so at their own risk,” the statement cautioned.
