The governing body for African football, the Confederation of African Football, CAF, has increased the prize money of the Winner of this year’s forthcoming “TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (“WAFCON”), tagged “Morocco 2024”. .
According to CAF President, Dr. Patrice Motsepe, the increment is 100% for the total prize money for this Championship.

With this new welcomed development, the participating National female teams in the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (“WAFCON”) Morocco 2024 will receive the following prize money:
Winner: USD 1 000 000
Runner up: USD 500 000
Third place: USD 350 000
Fourth place: USD 300 000
Quarter-finalists (4 Teams): USD 200 000 for each Team
3rd of the group: USD 150 000
4th of the group (3 Teams): USD 125 000 for each team.
Meanwhile, the amazing Super Falcons of Nigeria will begin their campaign for the 2024 WAFCON title today, Sunday July, 6th, with the Tunisia female National team.
The nine-times WAFCON champions, are ready to lift the trophy for the tenth time, according to reliable reports from their camp in Morocco.
The highly anticipated match will be played on Sunday, July 6th, at 5:00 PM.
