It was an atmosphere of divine celebration and heartfelt appreciation yesterday in the bustling suburb of Ikotun, Lagos, as Perpetual Praise, a grand thanksgiving service in honour of Deaconess Kemi Fajana, CEO of the fast-growing TwinsFaja business empire, drew crowds of worshippers, admirers, and well-wishers from far and wide.

The praise-filled event, held at Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Unity Way, Custom Bus Stop, Abaranje, Lagos, saw the church grounds and surrounding streets teeming with guests who came to celebrate the life, success, and unwavering faith of a woman many described as “a light to this generation.”

Gospel Ministers Raise the Roof in Worship

The stage was lit with vibrant praise and intense worship as a host of popular gospel artistes took turns in leading the congregation in what many described as “a foretaste of heaven.” Among those who ministered were Delight Omotosho (all the way from Ondo State), Harmony, Tolulope Akindele, Bunmi Success, Any Praise, Tosin Praise, Rope Flourish, Glorious Twins, and the renowned Evangelist Esther Igbekele, whose electrifying performance left the congregation in awe.

“It’s not just about singing; it’s about giving glory to the One who lifts people from the dust and sets them among princes,” Evangelist Igbekele said in a brief chat with Arrow Board News. “Kemi Fajana’s life is a testimony of God’s grace, and today, we’re not just celebrating her, we’re praising God.”

The atmosphere was intense. The melodies, drums, and harmonies swirled through the air like incense, creating what many described as “a cloud of glory.” People danced with reckless joy, hands lifted in thanksgiving, tears streaming down many faces — not of sadness, but overwhelming gratitude.

A Message of Hope from the Pulpit

In the message of the day titled “Heart of Gratitude,” Pastor Femi Oyeniyi stirred the congregation with words of truth and spiritual depth. He described Deaconess Kemi Fajana as a symbol of God’s faithfulness and urged everyone to imbibe a life of thanksgiving.

“We are in a world full of glory destroyers, destiny killers, and evil men,” the pastor began. “But through it all, the Lord preserved her. Kemi Fajana’s life is proof that when God marks your head with oil, no man can stop your rising.”

He further reminded attendees that fulfilling destiny is only possible through a genuine relationship with God. “We are all here for a purpose. But it takes surrender, obedience, and a heart full of gratitude to walk that path,” he said.

From Street Hawker to Business Mogul

The event became even more moving as her elder sister stepped up to give a stirring testimony of the celebrant’s early years. “She hawked in the sun, she did menial jobs that many wouldn’t dare, but she never gave up. Even when life seemed tough, Kemi stayed strong, focused, and kind. She has always put family first and never forgot where she came from,” she shared as tears welled in many eyes.

Former classmates from her secondary school days recalled how she was one of the top students in their set. “She could have become anything in the academic world, but she chose business,” Pastor Femi Adeniji said. “And look at where destiny placed her — at the top. She is now a beacon of hope for many young girls.”

Her rise to the top of Nigeria’s competitive business landscape is not just about profit — it’s about people. As CEO of the TwinsFaja Group, she’s not only grown a multi-sectoral business empire but is also known for her philanthropy, particularly in her hometown of Omu-Aran, Kwara State, and across Lagos.

A Politician’s Testimony of Unity

One of the biggest highlights of the day was the presence of Hon. Tunji Olawuyi Ajulo-opin, a federal lawmaker from Kwara State. In his goodwill message, he lauded Kemi Fajana for her inclusive nature and commitment to national unity.

“This is a Christian woman who gave the highest donation for the building of mosques in our communities — without being asked,” Hon. Olawuyi said. “This is what Nigeria needs — people who do not judge others by religion or tribe but by humanity and love.”

Family Ties and Unshakable Bonds

The convener of Perpetual Praise, Engineer Oluwole Awoniyi and Adebayo Otunola Awoniyi — her younger brothers — were visibly emotional during the program; ensuring everything works as planned because they saw the need to celebrate their hero who has done everything possible to see them rise.

They explained that the event was not just a birthday but a long-overdue celebration of a woman who had poured herself out for others. “In every family, God sends a light—ours is my sister, Mrs. Kemi Fajana.

Though we grew up apart in age, her kindness shaped my life. She saw potential in me, sponsored my education, gave me shelter, and opened doors others only dream of.

From personal assistant to Executive Director at Twinsfaja Nigeria Ltd., my journey was built on her sacrifice and belief in me. She even sponsored my wedding and stood by me like a mother.

Today, I am who I am because of her. She is our family’s pillar, my greatest supporter, and a true gift from God.

Thank you, Sister Kemi. I honor and celebrate you. Adebayo Otunola Stated.

Gifts, Joy, and Overflowing Gratitude

Attendees were not only spiritually enriched but also physically appreciated. Gifts were generously distributed to all guests — a gesture many said reflected the celebrant’s heart of giving. The crowd, which included community members, market women, friends, and business partners, continued to sing and dance even hours after the main service ended.

“I came here with a burden in my heart, but I’m going home renewed,” said Mrs. Fadekemi Aderibigbe, a guest from Ogun State. “This woman’s story and the atmosphere of praise have reminded me that God still lifts people.”

Evangelist Esther Igbekele ministering

As the sun set over Ikotun, the lingering echo of praise songs, testimonies, and goodwill messages painted a clear picture: Kemi Fajana is more than a CEO — she is a blessing to her generation.

Her story — from the streets to the top — continues to inspire, especially at a time when Nigerians are seeking hope, real heroes, and a reminder that success, with integrity and faith, is still possible.
