Mowe, Ogun State – The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has made an ambitious call for massive financial support to expand the church’s Redemption City Camp in Mowe, Ogun State, after the record-breaking turnout at the just-concluded 2025 Annual Convention.
The week-long convention, themed “From Glory to Glory,” attracted millions of worshippers from across Nigeria and over 190 nations. While the gathering was a celebration of faith and unity, it also exposed the urgent need for infrastructure upgrades at the sprawling camp.
Adeboye, speaking during the final session, said the sheer size of the crowd—described as “a good problem”—had stretched the camp’s resources beyond capacity. Dormitories overflowed, choir seating was insufficient, and traffic congestion leading to the camp reached unprecedented levels.
“We thank God for the crowd, but we must prepare for an even greater one,” Adeboye declared in a live broadcast on Dove TV. “We need to build more dormitories, expand the choir altar, improve water supply, upgrade our electricity system, and widen our internal roads.”
A Call for Kingdom Builders
In a bold move, the revered cleric outlined a structured fundraising plan aimed at raising billions for the project:
- 10 members to contribute ₦1 billion each
- 100 members to contribute ₦100 million each
- 1,000 members to contribute ₦10 million each
- Others to donate between ₦1 million and ₦1,000
Adeboye stressed that contributions should be made willingly, without compulsion, and would be used exclusively for the RCCG Camp Expansion Project.
“It’s not by force,” he told the congregation. “But I pray that God will raise billionaires among my children who will make this vision a reality. We must act now so that by next year, we will be ready for an even larger crowd.”
From Spiritual Feast to Global Spotlight
The 2025 convention was filled with worship, Bible teaching, prophetic ministrations, and powerful testimonies, drawing global attention to RCCG’s remarkable growth. It reaffirmed the church’s status as one of the largest Christian movements in the world.
With the Redemption City Camp serving as the heartbeat of the ministry, the proposed expansion is expected to create more space for worshippers, enhance facilities for international visitors, and improve the overall experience for those attending future gatherings.
As the church looks ahead to the 2026 convention, the fundraising drive marks a new chapter in the ongoing development of Redemption City—transforming it into a world-class spiritual hub capable of hosting millions without infrastructural strain.
