The Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Church is on track to open its long-awaited university known as Moses Orimolade University in Omu-Aran, Irepodun Local government, Kwara State, with plans to commence full academic operations by 2026.
This milestone was revealed by Rev. Esther Ajayi, Chairperson of the C&S Centenary Anniversary Steering Committee and Founder of the Love of Christ Church, Lagos, during the church’s centenary anniversary lecture held in Lagos.
According to Rev. Ajayi, the university project is already 80 percent completed and represents one of the most significant achievements of the church in its 100-year history. She emphasized that the institution will focus on molding morally upright leaders who will positively influence society and the global community.

“Our goal is to use education as a tool to instill discipline, morality, and holiness in young people. At a time when moral values are fast declining, this university will serve as a beacon of hope, nurturing students who will make a lasting difference in the world,” she stated.
A Vision Beyond Borders
Rev. Ajayi also highlighted the church’s global vision, explaining that the university, also known as Moses Orimolade University will play a pivotal role in spreading the gospel and shaping bold, visionary minds who will evangelize across continents.
“We are looking at taking the gospel to Europe, the West, and beyond. Through this university, we will raise young people equipped to address the growing social and moral challenges threatening humanity,” she added.
Confirmation by C&S Leader
Speaking to Arrow Board News (ABNews) correspondent, Pastor Gideon Oyedepo, a respected leader within the C&S fold, affirmed the timeline and Rev. Ajayi’s remarks. He noted that preparations are in full swing to ensure the institution opens its doors as scheduled.
“The vision for the C&S University is clear and strong. By 2026, we are confident that the first set of students will be admitted into a system built to integrate spiritual values with academic excellence,” Pastor Oyedepo confirmed.
A New Era for C&S and Kwara State
The establishment of the C&S University signals a new era not only for the church but also for Kwara State, providing opportunities for academic growth and spiritual development. With its focus on faith, service, and leadership, the institution is poised to become a hub for raising transformative leaders who will serve both the church and the world.
As construction nears completion, anticipation is building among church members, education stakeholders, and the local community, all looking forward to the groundbreaking moment when the university welcomes its first batch of students in 2026.
