As the globe eagerly awaits the emergence of the next King of the Ijebus worldwide from the royal houses, the finds making the rounds is stating the opposite of the wide expectations of the people in Nigeria and diaspora.
An exclusive investigation by this writer has revealed that it will turn out to be a shocking twist against the general wish of the people. Infact, a strict monitoring of events, whispers and movements within and outside the royals and associates are unveiling that the next Awujale of Ijebuland could emerge from the shores of Atlanta, USA or some where within that region.
Reliable sources close to the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, slated to produce the next king, hinted at a monumental shift in Ijebu Ode’s rulership. The late Otunba Subomi Balogun, a revered uncle of the Atoloyes and former Head of the Olori Omo Oba, leaves behind a legacy that could pave the way for his nephews.
Given the Atoloyes’ affinity with the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, speculation suggests that one of Otunba Subomi’s sons might be chosen as the next King of Ijebu Ode. This extended to his nephews; the Atoloyes.

“Now, that the rulership is the turn of the Fusengbuwa’s ruling house, it could be any of its sons. As the good news and revelation spread among the Atoloyes. They are abuzz with excitement and anticipation. Could this be the moment they’ve been waiting for? Will one of their own ascend to the glory throne, bringing a new era of dynamic leadership to Ijebuland?
However, as this marvelling chain of historic events keep unfolding, the world watches with bated breath as the future of Ijebu kingship hangs in the balance.
Contrary, some other royals and concerned folks have a different opinions towards this development. They told this writer in anonymity too that the Ijebus should “be prepared, for the winds of change is already blowing in Ijebuland. The destiny of the Ijebus is about to take a dramatic turn”. They stressed.
