Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has congratulated the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, on the 30th anniversary of his ascension to the revered throne of Sheikh Alimi.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, the Governor described the Emir’s three decades on the throne as a period marked by peace, transformation, and steady progress across the Ilorin Emirate.
Governor AbdulRazaq commended the monarch’s calm disposition and wise leadership, noting that Ilorin has grown into one of Nigeria’s most peaceful and beautiful capital cities under his reign.
He lauded the Emir’s support for good governance, infrastructural renewal, and the sociocultural advancement of the emirate, describing him as a pillar of unity and a promoter of development.
“His Royal Highness, a retired senior judge, is known for his deep respect for law and order — values that reflect his commitment to democracy, justice, and societal growth,” the Governor stated.
Governor AbdulRazaq prayed for the Emir’s continued good health, long life, and Allah’s guidance as he continues to lead his people with honour and wisdom.
