The Theobart Global Foundation has cautioned its subscribers and the general public against traveling to Abuja over fake invitations allegedly circulated by some fraudulent NGOs.

In a public address delivered on Thursday, December 11, 2025, the National Ambassador of the foundation, Dr. Ambassador Peters (popularly known as Newman), reassured Nigerians that Tiobat remains a credible and reliable grant provider in the country and across Africa. He emphasized that the foundation communicates official information through its verified channels and urged subscribers to rely solely on these platforms.

Addressing what he described as a “cogent and very pertinent issue,” Newman raised alarm over reports of NGOs directing grant applicants to travel to Abuja for supposed engagements with the foundation. He warned that such invitations are fake and designed to extort unsuspecting individuals.

Newman later introduced the Country Director of Theobat Global Foundation, Dr. Professor Ambassador Apostle Theophilus Oloche Ebonyi, who further clarified the situation.

In his remarks, Dr. Ebonyi stated unequivocally that no NGO has been invited to Abuja, nor has the foundation requested anyone to travel for any grant-related activity. He urged the public to disregard such directives.

“There is no reason for anybody to come to Abuja,” he said. “Sit in your homes, stay with your phones, enjoy your money, and don’t let anyone deceive you. We cannot be wicked enough to call people out unnecessarily. The roads are not safe, and the air is not safe either.”

Dr. Ebonyi encouraged subscribers to remain patient and protect themselves, wishing them a safe and joyful festive season. He added that beneficiaries who eventually receive their grants may visit him later if they wish, but not before then.

Newman echoed the country director’s message, stressing that the official instruction remains: “Stay where you are and enjoy your money.” He warned NGOs attempting to defraud the masses that Tiobat will not tolerate any form of exploitation.

The Theobat Global Foundation urged the public to remain vigilant and to await authentic updates only through its recognized communication channels.
