…Denies APC Defection

The Office of the Executive Governor of Plateau State has observed the ongoing discussions in some quarters regarding Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang’s alleged intention to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
To this effect, an official press statement by the Governor signed and released by the Gyang Bere, the Governor’s Director of Press and Public Affairs, has declared that his defection story to APC is fake news
“We wish to kindly clarify that there is no truth whatsoever in these speculations.
“His Excellency remains a dedicated and loyal member of the PDP, the platform under which he was elected to serve the people of Plateau State. Governor Mutfwang continues to enjoy a cordial relationship with the leadership of the party at both the state and national levels, and he remains focused on working collaboratively to strengthen democratic governance and deliver quality service to the people”, Bere explained.
“The Governor appreciates the interest of citizens in matters concerning the state’s political direction and encourages the public to always rely on verified communication channels, especially at a time when unconfirmed information can easily cause unnecessary tension.
“We thank the people of Plateau State for their continued prayers, support, and understanding. Together, we will build a stronger, united, and prosperous Plateau”, Bere submitted.
“Governor Mutfwang’s commitment at this moment is firmly centred on good governance, peace-building, and inclusive development, not partisan distractions. He deeply values the trust reposed in him and remains focused on fulfilling his mandate”, he stressed.
